What I’d Build First©️🏗️☝️by Felina Silver (copyright 2026)

What Would You Do If You Won The Lottery?

If I won the lottery
I wouldn’t start with the noise of it🫨
no headlines, no champagne spill.
I would start small,
with the soft math of my children’s needs.

I’d make sure their shoes fit,
that the fridge never sounded hollow,
that fear never crept in through unpaid bills.
What they want can wait✋
but what they need would never have to ask twice.

Then I would build doors.
Strong ones.
Doors that lock from the inside.
Rooms where bruises are not questioned
and silence is allowed to rest.
Places where survivors learn
that safety can be permanent.

I would give the homeless something radical𓀦
an address.
Walls that remember their names,
beds that don’t disappear at sunrise,
windows that promise tomorrow
without conditions.

I would gather the abandoned🏚️
four-legged souls with tired eyes
and too many good instincts broken.
Every cage would open into a home.
Every bowl would be full.
Every life would be chosen again.

If I won the lottery,
I’d spend it like this:
turning money into mercy,
wealth into shelter,
luck into love that stays.

Because the real winnings
would be knowing
that fewer people
and fewer animals
would have to survive
what they never deserved.
